Bueno, después de renegar bastante, pudimos conseguir
el motor que queríamos para nuestro avión, es un motor yanquie, y se llama
Crovair, este es el motor que salio en el vehiculo predecesor del Corvete.


Este es un motor de
2400 cm3. que entrega una potencia estimada en 100 hp. a 3900 rpm.
Elegimos este motor porque dentro de los motores de auto tiene muchas ventajas
sobre la gran mayoría para este tipo de uso, algunas son:
-Al ser un motor bóxer las vibraciones
son mucho menores.
-Es un motor refrigerado por aire con las ventajas que trae este tipo de
refrigeración en vuelo, y además disminuyendo el peso del avión al no tener
radiador.
-Es un motor recontraremil probado y usado por los yanquis en este modelo de
avión
-Tiene un block de aluminio con lo que todavía es mucho menor el peso.
-Sus dimensiones son realmente pequeñas en comparación a otros motores de
la misma potencia
Se le pondrá un
encendido a descarga capacitiva y uno suplementario a chispa perdida, con
sensores inductivos, el cual se podra cambiar desde el interior, para mayor
seguridad.
El carburador que le
pondremos es un Solex Mikuni horizontal 40-40 de apertura simultanea, una para
cada grupo de cilindros, en la parte inferior del motor.
El aire de entrada al filtro de aire (valga la redundancia) se tratara de
calefaccionar desde los escapes con una portina operada desde el interior de la
cabina, para evitar posibles congelamientos del combustible.
Por el momento el motor esta tal cual lo conseguimos,
mas adelante se le dará mas importancia
